Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
I’m Louisa—author, poet, and nature-dweller on the edge of Yellowstone National Park.
I write fiction steeped in the candlelit charm of the Victorian era and explore its history, but I also write essays and articles on wild places and reconnecting to our spiritual side.
Whether you’re here for soft magic, quiet reflection, or just a good old-fashioned tale, you’re in the right place.
I share all of my writing on my blog—The Silver Pen—as I work on my novels and novellas.
If you are here for my fiction, grab a cup of tea and enter the parlor. If you love Victorian and Edwardian history, come into the candlelit library to browse the stacks.
If you prefer the great outdoors, put on your walking shoes and walk the tree line with me as I explore Yellowstone and Montana.
If magic and spirituality are more your speed, lift the veil and gaze into the crystal ball with me.
And, if you like a bit of everything, pick a book from the shelf, flip and start reading.

I’m currently working on a series of historical and contemporary romance novels. While they’re brewing behind the scenes, you can read my short stories in The Teacake Gazette.
Poetry is where I first found my voice—and where I return when the world gets too hectic and my brain feels frazzled. I love the challenge of finding the "right" word or phrase and making it make sense to my readers (or just to me, ha).
My desire is to not only entertain you with my fiction and give you an insight into life in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, but to offer deeper, spiritual topics to think about, and hopefully help your life for the better. Along the way, I want to reflect on life in the wilds of Montana and how we can all conserve and sustain our Mother Earth for the future.
Bottom line - I hope you find something you can relate to with my writing, and if you don't, that's okay, too. There are plenty of authors to read.
If you've made it this far - thank you - and, again, welcome!
